Where fiber management is risk management.
SIMPLE, SCALABLE AND COST-FRIENDLY
Traditionally fiber management has been designed “from the outside in.” All hardware that provides the necessary protection was designed into the box — thereby limiting scalability. Clearfield believes fiber management is risk management. To save costs and deployment time, fiber management shouldn’t be a fixed, up-front expense. Instead, it should be able to grow in-step with your subscriber take rates and revenue. It also should be based upon a single architecture – so that your inventory carrying costs are reduced and your training time is limited. The result is the Clearview Cassette, the heart of the FieldSmart fiber management product line which includes:
- FieldSmart FxDS - Main frame fiber distribution for the inside plant
- FieldSmart FSC - Outside plant fiber distribution
- FieldSmart FDP - Wall mount and pedestal solutions for the access network
With Clearview, the rules of fiber management have changed. No more does the service provider need to consider fiber management within the network layout—it’s already built into the solution. The Clearview Cassette is a system of 6 parts that fully nest together to support any application in the inside or outside plant. Parts are added or removed to support the configuration element desired for the environment into which it is being deployed. All types of fiber construction can be integrated into the cassette. The cassette can support all patch only, patch & splice, passive optical component hardware, and plug n’ play scenarios.
PATCH AND SPLICE
THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR YOUR NETWORK
By integrating a splice tray that nests into the lower tray, service providers can reap the cost savings of a patch and splice environment without the traditional deployment tradeoffs.
Optical components are also available within the cassette footprint, allowing service providers to mix and match fiber modules with optical component modules in the same chassis.
The small footprint of the Clearview Blue design minimizes space requirements thereby reducing the cost of deployment. Integrated slack management and cable routing provides for superior performance with minimal risk of fiber damage.
Backwards compatible to the entire FieldSmart product line of fiber management enclosures, Clearview Blue’s multiple buffertube outer paths, increased from two to six for cable entry, allow the technician a high degree of flexibility in its deployment.
The core building block of every product within the FieldSmart fiber management system, Clearview Blue incorporates the same flexibility and scalability of Clearview Classic with enhanced configuration options supporting tool-less installation, in-cassette buffer tube/ribbon slack storage, front access-only designs, and a 25% smaller footprint. Reducing the overall footprint of the fiber management element reduces real-estate costs and improves density without compromising critical design elements of access, bend-radius protection, physical fiber protection, and route-path diversity.
